Scoofers is a new social search engine. This means that it provides search results based on the knowledge of experts at social networking websites. The combination of automatic results with social bookmarks leads to more relevant search results.
Social networking websites are websites where people can collect their favourite links and share them with others. Those websites are becoming more and more popular, and have millions of users. Scoofers orders its search results based on the popularity of social bookmarks. Only the best bookmarks appear in Scoofers’ search results.

Labels and refinements
Scoofers' intention is to provide you great search results. We noticed that searching today provides you all the results, but picking the right result is sometimes hard. That's why we labelled a large part of the internet. We labelled sites with refinement/labels like " For Senior Citizens " or " For Families " . When you click on those labels or refinements, you will get the appropriate results. We didn't do the labelling completely by ourselves; we use Del.icio.us, Digg, Yahoo directories, DMOZ and other social bookmarking sites and directories.

We have also made four (until now) vertical Scoofers. They will provide better results for specific subjects, like travelling, electronics, party or fashion shopping. Notice the differences when your for instance type "New York". When you use the general Scoofers you will get results like the history of New York. When you use Travel Scoofers you will get instantly results with some travel like sauce on it. Also check the other vertical Scoofers out.

This is document is an agreement between you and Scoofers. This agreement applies to all the services that Scoofers offers. This document explains how the terms are drawn up and what terms there are for this agreement.

Scoofers is constantly improving its services, in order to make Scoofers better. As part of this innovating process, the lay-out and the services of Scoofers may changes from time to time. You acknowledge and agree that Scoofers may change and stop providing its services, without prior notice to you.

4. Use of Scoofers
You agree that you only use the services for purposes that are permitted (terms of services) and agree with any applicable law, regulation or other guidelines in the relevant jurisdictions.

You agree that you will not engage in any activity that disrupts the services of Scoofers. You agree that you will not copy, duplicate, (re)sell or trade the services of Scoofers. You agree that you are responsible (and Scoofers is not responsible) for any breach of your obligations under the terms of services and for the consequences of this.

You may not use Scoofers’ trade name, logo’s, domain names and other features of the brand Scoofers, unless you have been specifically permitted by Scoofers to do so.

Your use of the service is at your sole risk. Scoofers disclaims warranties of the services or the accuracy and reliability of information that is being provided. Scoofers does not guarantee that all the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

Scoofers values your privacy. We understand that you want to know if your privacy is being guaranteed when you use Scoofers. This document describes what information is being collected, how that information is being used, with whom it is being shared and the changes in the privacy policy.

Information collecting
Scoofers does not collect any personal information about its users. Only the information that you choose to provide us, for example contact information when you want to contact Scoofers. This information will only be used to give you an answer. We do not collect any person information, except when you have given us permission to do so in advance.
