Balai Seni Negeri (State Art Gallery)
Located close to Masjid Zahir, Balai Seni Negeri Kedah Darul Aman (Kedah Darul Aman State Art Gallery), houses paintings, antiques and historical relics. Built in 1912, the architectural design of the Balai Seni Negeri, with its strong Roman influence is rather out of the ordinary in this traditional state. It is an ideal place for visitors to gain an understanding of Kedah’s historical background and rich cultural heritage.
